1. What you need to get started
To connect your Namecheap / Private Email mailbox to Gmail, have the following details ready:
- Your full email address created in Namecheap / Private Email (e.g.
[email protected]). - Your mailbox password or generated app password.
- A destination personal or work Gmail account.

6. Connecting via POP3 for Gmail
- Sign in to POP3 for Gmail by authorizing your destination Gmail account.
- Click "Connect Mailbox" and type your Namecheap / Private Email address.
- The autodiscovery wizard automatically detects
mail.privateemail.comormail.privateemail.comand verifies credentials. - Select your preferred Gmail label (e.g.
Namecheap / Private Email) and sync frequency.
7. Troubleshooting common connection issues
If a connection error occurs, double-check that your full email is entered as the username and that foreign IP logins or IMAP access are enabled in your Namecheap / Private Email security settings.
