Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of POP3 for Gmail, including the Chrome extension, website, backend sync service, admin or account interfaces, and related features. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

What POP3 for Gmail provides

POP3 for Gmail helps you connect external POP3 mailboxes to your Gmail account. The service can poll configured POP3 servers, import new messages into Gmail, apply labels, track sync status, prevent duplicate imports, and optionally support outgoing mail configuration.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Using the service only with Google accounts, POP3 mailboxes, SMTP servers, and email addresses that you own or are authorized to use.
• Providing accurate server settings, usernames, passwords, OAuth permissions, and sender information.
• Complying with the terms and policies of Google, Gmail, your mail provider, your hosting provider, and applicable law.
• Maintaining backups or alternative access for important mailboxes.
• Keeping your Google account, mailbox credentials, and devices secure.

Google and third-party services

POP3 for Gmail depends on Google OAuth, the Gmail API, your POP3 provider, optional SMTP providers, browsers, networks, hosting providers, and other third-party systems. These third parties are not controlled by us. Changes, outages, rate limits, account restrictions, security policies, or discontinued features from those providers may affect the service.

Google account access

The service uses Google OAuth and Gmail API permissions to insert imported messages and manage labels. You may revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access may stop synchronization and related features.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use POP3 for Gmail to:

• Access accounts, servers, mailboxes, or data without authorization.
• Send spam, phishing, malware, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful content.
• Bypass rate limits, security controls, authentication, billing controls, or technical restrictions.
• Probe, scan, attack, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or infrastructure.
• Use the service to violate privacy, intellectual property, export control, anti-spam, or other applicable laws.
• Resell or provide access to the service as a competing product without written permission.

Email delivery and synchronization

We aim to make synchronization reliable, but email systems are complex. We do not guarantee that every message will be imported, sent, labeled, deduplicated, or delivered at a specific time. Sync may be delayed or fail because of provider limits, invalid credentials, server outages, message size, malformed email content, network failures, Gmail API limits, security restrictions, or configuration errors.

Data and content

You retain ownership of your email content and account data. You grant us the limited permission needed to process that data solely to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain POP3 for Gmail. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Security and account protection

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the service, but you remain responsible for your accounts and credentials. If you believe your account, mailbox, OAuth access, or SMTP credentials have been compromised, you should revoke access, rotate passwords or app passwords, and contact us promptly.

Suspension or termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the service if we reasonably believe there is abuse, security risk, legal risk, non-payment, violation of these Terms, or behavior that could harm users, providers, infrastructure, or the reputation of the service.

Free and paid features

Some features may be free, paid, usage-limited, or offered as a trial. If paid plans are introduced, pricing, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation rules, and refund terms will be shown before purchase. Taxes and payment processor fees may apply where relevant.

Changes to the service

We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue features as the product evolves, especially when required by provider changes, security needs, legal obligations, cost, or reliability concerns.

Beta and experimental features

Some features may be marked beta, experimental, preview, or coming soon. These features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed.

No professional advice

POP3 for Gmail is a technical email synchronization tool. It does not provide legal, compliance, archival, security, or business continuity advice. You are responsible for deciding whether the service meets your requirements.

Disclaimer

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, and guaranteed email delivery or synchronization.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, POP3 for Gmail and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, emails, revenue, profits, business opportunities, reputation, goodwill, or use arising from or related to the service.

Indemnity

Where permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless POP3 for Gmail and its operator from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your unauthorized use of accounts or systems.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the website, extension, or service interface. Continued use of the service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
